The Learner Navigation feature empowers learners to review their quiz questions before completing the quiz when “learner feedback” is disabled.
For Instructors:
The option to toggle “Learner Navigation” appears in the quiz workspace next to “Learner Feedback”
After unchecking Learner Feedback, the option to enable “Learner Navigation” becomes available
Enabling Learner Navigation...
-
- Disables the Learner Feedback option
- Disables timers on quiz cards
- Disables the option to "Allow users to retake the quiz" on the Exit Slide, ensuring consistent quiz settings.
- Note: DoD users could become blocked if Sequential Learning and Learner Navigation are enabled simultaneously. We do not recommend not using Sequential Learning when exam features are a priority.
Admins can toggle Learner Navigation off as needed. Upon toggling Learner Navigation off:
-
-
-
- The option to turn Learner Feedback on is enabled, restoring feedback functionality.
- Timers on quiz cards are re-enabled.
- The option to "Allow users to retake the quiz" on the Exit Slide is no longer disabled.

Learner View
With Learner Navigation enabled, learners can easily navigate back and forth between quiz questions before submitting their answers. The ability to navigate back and forth between quiz questions allows instructors to create an intuitive, test-like scenario for their learners that mimics the experience of taking a test on paper.
- Learners have access to a "previous" button for easy slide navigation.
- Learners can skip unanswered questions. After answering the last question, they will be shown a page that lists all unanswered questions. At this point, the learner can go back or submit their answers without answering the questions.
- Learners will always be asked to submit their answers and will not see their scores until they actively choose to complete the quiz.
