This article provides guidance on using CloudConvert to reduce the size of files and format to the correct file type in order to meet Learn to Win upload requirements.
For more about Learn to Win upload requirements, read this article on file size and types. Video files must be in .mp4 format and under 100Mb.
Note: CloudConvert is not cleared for IL4 / CUI material. It is a third-party service with no affiliation to Learn to Win. There are many different services for video conversion and compression, and if you are seeking resources for working with IL4 or IL6 videos, please contact your Learn to Win representative. Before using the service, please ensure it meets the security guidelines set out by your organization.
Using CloudConvert
- Go to https://cloudconvert.com/
- Select the file you wish to upload/convert
- You can convert audio and/or video files
- Convert your file to an "MP4" or "MP3"
- Note: It is okay if you are converting a file from the same file type (ie. MP4 to MP4)
- If uploading a video for MP4, click the wrench icon
- Change the "Resolution" to 1280x720 (720p HD)
- Change the "Constant Quality (CRF) to 28 (low quality). For smaller videos, you can continue to decrease the quality, but it is not recommended to go past 35.
- Scroll down and click "Okay"
- After uploading all files you want converted/compressed, click "Convert" at the bottom right
- Wait for all files to finish processing and then select download to save each file.
- You may then upload the files into the Content Bank or directly into a Lesson/Quiz
